The museum dedicated to Hergé was envisioned and designed by the architect Christian de Portzamparc. With each step, you penetrate to the heart of creation, imagination and dreams.
Discover a manifold, diverse, monumental and largely unknown body of work. Meet Hergé, the illustrator. Hergé, the advertising designer. Hergé, a 20th century hero.
Permanent or themed exhibits in nine rooms of varied sceneries await you to follow the path of Tintin and Hergé’s other characters through drawings, original boards, film abstracts, model objects and photos.
The Louvain-la-Neuve site was chosen in 2001 to accommodate the Museum that opened its doors to visitors on June 2nd, 2009.
