The youngest of our cities, Louvain-la-Neuve is a tourist center in itself and is known throughout the world thanks to the renown of its University. 

Created in a space among fields, Louvain-la-Neuve is more than a university campus.  It is a new city with winding alleys, and squares of all sizes offering places for meeting and dialogue.  Its unique architecture, a mix of middle age influences and modern materials, and its design…it all has a story !

Louvain-la-Neuve is made up of six districts:

The Center, completely pedestrian, is constructed on a 3-hectare concrete foundation slab.  It is nestled in the hollow of the glens and extends to the lake. Branching off the center like the leaves of a shamrock, the districts of Hocaille, Lauzelle, Bruyères, Biéreau and Baraque ascend the sides of the valley.
